iCloud Photos keeps your photos and videos safe, up to date, and available automatically on all of your Apple devices, on iCloud.com, and even your PC. You can keep full-resolution originals on each of your devices, or save space with device-optimized versions instead. Either way, you can download your originals whenever you need them. Any organizational changes or edits you make are always kept up to date across all your Apple devices. Learn how to set up and use iCloud Photos.

Iphone Won 039;t Download Photos From Icloud

Downloading photos on my mac and . When i open photos -preferences -iCloud it was downloading but now seems dormant at 185 photos left. Storage space is not the problem. I have shut down reopened but do not see the upload bar moving.

I had the same problem with photos backing up that were not being downloaded from iCloud. My number was over 4000 photos. I finally set my laptop so it would not go to sleep at all (never), plugged it in and started the iCloud Photos download/upload event. Mine was stuck going both ways. iCloud only had photos until June, 2016. And the number remaining was ridiculous. In the meantime, we got a faster internet service from the same provider. I got it to download through October 29th. Since then, my iCloud Photos has given me the message that something was wrong with my Photos App and an error occurred while downloading photos. My Photos App on my MacBook was at the same exact place. But my iPhone 6s and my iPad Air had photos up to date. Today, I checked iCloud just to see if things were backing up. I don't trust it and I never have. NONE of my photos are there. There's a big exclamation mark in the photo window saying there was an error downloading the photo. Where did all the photos go through October 29, 2016? I back up my photos to Amazon Prime Photos and also to Google. Then I know they are not just in iCloud. Good luck, my friend. You're not "stuck". Chances are your internet connection could be blinking out for a second them coming back on (that was happening here). It really slows down the process. I also found that I had so many doubles, triples, quadruples of some photos, it was ridiculous. I don't really have over 5000 photos that I want to keep. So, I use an app for photo duplicates and get rid of some of the duplicates occasionally. The first time I ran it, there was a huge number of multiple photos that were identical. Unfortunately, it will not let you put your iCloud Photos in to check for duplicates. If you could do that, they wouldn't keep duplicating. I hope the internet thing and keeping your device open all night and all day if it takes it to let it catch up works. If you have an iPhone, you can also choose iCloud photo settings and check "Pause for one day". It doesn't backup your photos for one day and mine miraculously went from over 4000 waiting on my phone to 793 just by clicking that off. Don't ask me why but it worked.

iTunes Error -39 most often occurs when you sync your iPhone or other iDevice using iTunes on your computer. This error often appears during iOS updates and upgrades to your iPhone, iPad, and other iDevices. Error -39 also occurs when deleting photos and videos from your devices.

If you have a Mac running OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 or later, you can switch on iCloud Photo Library so that all of your photos and videos from your iPhone and other iOS devices will automatically appear in the Photos app on your Mac.

To enable iCloud on your Windows PC, you must be running Windows 7 or later. Open a web browser on your Windows computer, then click this link to download iCloud for Windows from the Apple website and install the software on your PC.
